Meet Abhijit, a versatile entrepreneur from Najibabad, UP. With an impressive academic background and a diverse professional journey, Abhijit exemplifies adaptability and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. He holds degrees in B.Com, M.Com, and an MBA, and had worked in various salaried roles, before coming back to his hometown Najibabad and establishing his entrepreneurial ventures. With perseverance and a forward-thinking mindset, his decisions are aimed at building a stable and prosperous future for his family.
Over the years, Abhijit has successfully launched and managed multiple income streams. His first independent venture was a catering company which he set up and ran for one year in Delhi. Today, he owns a book, stationery and confectionery shop, which also offers lamination and photocopying services. Additionally, he co-owns a Jan Seva Kendra, and retails NCC uniforms. This diversification not only ensures financial stability but also demonstrates his business acumen.
During his MBA, Abhijit learned a valuable lesson: "Everything is sellable." This lesson inspired him to start his business in 2013. He believes that in a customer-oriented market, if a customer asks for something and you can supply it, then you should go for it. "It takes effort, but you earn more. You must serve your customers as much as possible," he says. This customer-centric approach has been a key factor in his success.
Abhijit's financial aspirations are clear - he seeks to explore new income-generating methods, and aspires for quality education for his children. He is particularly focused on expanding his business of retailing NCC uniforms. He would like to expand further, even opening a second store location in the next 5 to 7 years, if he can start automating parts of his business, such as by using barcodes.
In Abhijit's story, we see many facets of Entrepreneurial Households - a blend of education and practical knowledge, a confidence to strive for financial growth, an inclination to return to hometowns for better opportunities and a relentless drive towards social mobility. His journey is a shining example of how dedication and innovation can lead to sustained success.
